Fall migration, counted honestly
Turn the scribbles into a list that counts.
Paste what you wrote on the walk - one bird a line, counts however you wrote them. The page reads every line, tallies it on a field card by family in five-bar gates, and flags what a checklist needs before you submit it, free in your browser. Ask for a tidy pass when you want every line called and the comments drafted.
1 What you saw
One bird a line: 12 Dark-eyed Juncos, junco x5, ~40 grackles flyover, RTHA 2, maybe a Philadelphia Vireo?. Mark heard, flyover or photo. A line ending in : names a stretch of the walk.
2 The outing
3 The tally card
Each gate is five birds. ~ estimate, H heard, FO flyover, ph photo, ? unsure; a ringed X is a bird with no count. Italic names are groups or names the page does not know. Tap a row for its lines.

4 Get the tidy pass
Metered. The tidy pass reads every line, the effort and the flags and gives each line a call - keep, name it, make it sp., count it, describe it or count once - with ID checks for the shaky ones, a verdict (ready, tidy or rework), the checklist comments and the steps before you submit. The page applies the calls itself and never lets a count change.
Take it with you
Checklist .csv: one row per bird with a header - name, count (X when none), marks and the outing - for a spreadsheet. eBird import .csv: the same rows in eBird's Record Format (Extended), for eBird's Import data page (state and country filled when Region names a US state or Canadian province); you confirm the location there and fix any name eBird does not know.
